We are thrilled to announce that Bournes Relocation Solutions has been awarded the Best Global Mobility Sustainability Initiative of the Year at the prestigious EMMA Awards (EMEA region) hosted by the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) on November 1st 2023. The award recognises our outstanding achievements and commitment to Sustainability in our role serving the global mobility industry.

The award was presented to Bonnie Thurlow (Corporate Sales Director), Cathy Goodman (Corporate Account Manager) and Alice Doucy (Customer Services Manager), who represented our team at the gala ceremony in London. We also received a highly commended recognition for our entry in the International Moving Company of the Year category, which showcases our excellence in delivering high-quality employee relocation services to our clients.

Our winning entry for the Sustainability award highlighted our accomplishments so far in reducing our environmental impact, improving our social responsibility and enhancing our governance practices which recently led to us achieving the EcoVadis Silver Rating. It also demonstrated how we have integrated sustainability into our next five-year strategic plan, which aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are a set of 17 global goals that aim to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030. Read more about Sustainability at Bournes.

The FEM EMMAs are the premier awards for the global mobility and international HR industry, celebrating the best and brightest professionals and organisations in the field. The awards are judged by an independent panel of senior industry experts, who commented on our entry:

“Bournes Relocation Solutions’ 5 year strategic plan aligned with the UN’s strategic development goals, makes this an honest and credible approach to building sustainability journey incorporating robust and tested certification and processes.”

Claire Tennant-Scull, Global Director of Content and Events at FEM added:

“The judges and I have been so impressed to see the quality of work undertaken by individuals, teams and organizations with this year’s extraordinarily strong entries. It is a demonstration of how resourceful, creative and innovative the people who work in this industry can be, and I think everyone who entered the awards should feel very proud of what they have achieved.”

We are honoured to receive this recognition from FEM and our peers in the global mobility community. It reflects our dedication to providing Sustainable solutions for our clients, partners and employees and our commitment to protecting our world for future generations.

We would like to congratulate all the other winners and finalists of the FEM EMMAs 2023 and thank everyone who has supported Bournes Sustainability journey so far - this is only the beginning!
