Bournes is delighted to announce we have received the EcoVadis Silver Medal for our Sustainability Performance in providing Moving and Relocation Services.
The Bournes team has put sustainability at the core of our strategy. We hold the ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) quality standards and are committed to adopting more sustainable business strategies throughout the company and through our relationships with our supply chain and partner network. We are working hard to keep taking small steps to make Sustainability part of our culture; to integrate sustainability into our daily actions and embrace meaningful change.
EcoVadis is the world's largest and most trusted independent provider of business sustainability ratings with over 100,000+ rated companies globally. The EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment evaluates Environmental, Social and Ethical performance using a methodology aligned with international standards with data points customised to our industry and verified by leading sustainability analysts.
Our EcoVadis rating provides transparent reporting for all stakeholders. Managing Director Wesley Bourne explains

The EcoVadis assessment not only allows us to measure and report on our current ratings but also benchmarks performance and provides customised recommendations to help us continuously improve.
The Silver Medal places Bournes in the top 25% of organisations rated by Ecovadis and our overall score was in the top 6% of companies rated in the Freight Transport by Road Industry. The award is testament to the commitment from teams across the organisation to ensuring that we can continue to add the value to people's lives that our services bring, whilst protecting People and Planet for the future.
Our goal for 2024 is 'Gold' and the team is already working hard to review the EcoVadis recommendations with a thorough debrief to ensure we get there!
