Cooks of Cranleigh is a local removals company operating in the Cranleigh and wider Surrey area for over 65 years. In 2012 the company joined the Bournes group of companies which trades as Bournes Home Moves in the Kent, Sussex and London regions. Bournes has been a family run company since 1875 and the aquisition helped the Bournes group to provide its range of moving and storage services to a wider geographical area whilst retaining the skills and local knowledge of an experienced team at Cooks.
Since 2012 Cooks has continued to trade under its original name, however as of 27th April 2018 we will be re-branding our Cranleigh removal company as an official Bournes Home Moves branch. This means over time the name we use when we talk to customers is changing, and so is our look through the uniforms our crews wear and the logos on our vehicles, and soon the Cooks of Cranleigh website will be transitioned across to the main Bournes site too. We hope everyone enjoys the fresh and smart new look!
What does the re-brand mean for Cooks and Bournes customers?
During and after the re-brand we are pleased to say that we will continue to offer an uninterrupted service to all existing and new customers for removals and storage. Our removals crews remain unchanged, offering the same high quality service and years of experience they always have, just in their new red jumpers!
We are proud that through this re-brand we will now be able to offer our Surrey based customers the full range of Bournes award winning services and customer experience alongside including:
- Professional removals and storage services.
- A dedicated move manager to help you plan and prepare for your move and to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
- Expert training for our crews through the Bournes Academy (an approved CPC driver training center).
- Extensive flexible resources with additional crews and vehicles operating from nearby depots providing more availability for new customers in the Surrey area.
- A wide range of services and resources to support customers in moving such as:
- Handyman service
- Housemaid and unpacking services
- European removals
- International removals by sea container and air freight
- A range of useful tools and resources through Bournes blogs, packing videos and moving house resources library
Bournes are a member of the British Association of Removers in its own right and therefore the branch continues to remain a fully certified member, including benefiting from all of the other removals accreditations and certifications held by Bournes. We are proud that Bournes was shortlisted for the British Association of Removers 'Domestic Mover of the Year' competition in 2018, and are 2017 holders and 2018 finalists for the BAR 'Overseas Mover of the Year' award. Why are we rebranding Cooks of Cranleigh?
We believe we can offer our customers a better experience, and provide our employees with more opportunities as a single, stronger brand. We've invested heavily at Bournes in recent years in the customer experience, our systems, training and development of our staff and in our resources and we want to be able to offer that to customers of all our branches including Rye (Sussex), Tunbridge Wells (Kent and now Cranleigh (Surrey).
