June brought another fantastic round of our £150 for Charity competition as part of our 150th anniversary celebrations, and once again, we were blown away by the nominations and support from our local communities. Every month it gets harder to choose a shortlist — a sure sign of just how many incredible organisations are doing good work across Kent and beyond.
After another close contest, we’re delighted to announce that our June winner is Meadows School, part of the children’s charity Barnardo’s! 🎉
Located across two campuses in Southborough and Tunbridge Wells, Meadows School provides specialist education for young people aged 7–19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Their dedicated team creates a nurturing, inclusive environment where each student is supported to rebuild confidence, develop life skills, and achieve their full potential.
Many of the children at Meadows have struggled to thrive in mainstream settings, and the school’s tailored approach helps re-engage them in learning through care, patience, and understanding. It’s a place that not only teaches but transforms lives - helping young people find their voice and believe in themselves again.
We’re so pleased that our £150 donation can play a small part in supporting the amazing work the staff and volunteers do every day at Meadows.
We’d also like to say a huge well done to our other June finalists, who both do brilliant things for their communities:
- 🌟 Friends of Northiam School (FoNS) – a passionate group of parents and carers who’ve raised over £5,000 since September to fund trips, equipment, and events that make school life more enriching and connected.
- 🌿 Lindengate Charity – a beautiful five-acre wellbeing centre in Wendover, offering therapeutic, nature-based activities to support people’s mental health and wellbeing through its “nature connection” approach.
A big thank you to everyone who took part in this month’s competition — whether you nominated, voted, or shared the post, you’ve helped shine a light on some truly deserving causes.
As a family-run Tunbridge Wells removal company, we love being part of such a caring and connected community. Supporting local organisations like Meadows School is one of the many ways we’re celebrating 150 years of helping families move and settle across Kent.
Keep an eye out for July’s competition, which will be launching soon - we can’t wait to see which fantastic cause will be next!
