Bournes recently brought colleagues together from across the business to celebrate the close of its milestone 150th year - an evening dedicated to recognising the people behind the company’s enduring success.

This anniversary represents far more than longevity. It is a tribute to the generations of individuals whose hard work, dedication, and spirit have shaped Bournes into the trusted moving and relocation partner it is today, and to those who laid the foundations long before us.
The event featured heartfelt speeches from current Managing Director Wesley Bourne and former Managing Director Eric Bourne, representing the fifth and fourth generations of family leadership. Sharing personal memories of growing up in the business, they reflected on how Bournes has evolved over the decades while staying true to the values that have guided it throughout.
Both spoke with gratitude for the commitment shown by teams past and present, acknowledging the resilience and unity that have carried the company through periods of challenge as well as growth. Looking ahead, they shared optimism for the future and confidence that the same people-first ethos will continue to drive Bournes forward.
