As our 150th anniversary celebrations continue, we’re delighted to reveal the winner of our October Charity Competition: Alone at Christmas, based at St Andrew’s Church in Paddock Wood, Kent - just a few miles from our Tunbridge Wells removals depot.

Bringing warmth and companionship on Christmas Day
Alone at Christmas is a small but extraordinary team of volunteers who dedicate their Christmas Day to bringing joy to local residents (primarily older people) who might otherwise spend the day alone.
From a free festive meal to entertainment, gifts, and even transport, the group creates a safe, welcoming celebration filled with kindness, community, and human connection.
🎄 As we approach the season of joy and goodwill, we’re honoured to support an initiative that truly captures the spirit of Christmas. We hope our donation helps make the day a little brighter for everyone attending and extends a sense of warmth and togetherness to those who need it most. 🎅
Thank you to our runners-up
A big thank-you also goes to our fantastic other finalists this month:
Two more chances to win...
We’re fast approaching the end of our 150th anniversary year, but there are still two more monthly charity prizes to be won.
If you’d like to nominate a local organisation you’re passionate about, make sure you’re following our page and keep an eye out — we’ll be announcing when November nominations open in the coming days.
