Yes! Packing services may actually not be as expensive as you think and can be hugely valuable in saving you time and stress when you move house.

Our removals crews’ complete specialist packing training and are experienced inwrapping and packing your items to protect them for the specific risks of moving house. We can pack everything for you or just some of your belongings(like your fragile items) if you prefer to do some of your packing yourselves. If we’re providing a packing service we’ll bring all the boxes along on the day and you can just leave everything where it is. If you’re doing any of your own packing we can include advance delivery of boxes for you in our quote.

For all UK moves we will bring along wardrobe cartons on moving day to pack any hanging clothes and stop them getting creased, so you can just leave those in the wardrobe until we arrive.

This saves you a lot of time and makes sure that your preferred mover is available(particularly in peak periods like summer and school holidays).

At Bournes we can even book your provisional move date in for you early and if you take our Cancelation/Postponement waiver option you can re-arrange this up to 24 hours before hand with no additional charge.

We’ve got a range of removals vehicles. We use our small 3.5 ton packing vans for pre-packing or for houses with tight access. We also have our standard 7.5 ton lorries which we find suits most average 3-bedroom house moves and have larger vehicles right up to 18 ton lorries which can also tow a trailer to double the capacity for efficient transport for even the largest moves.

Our vehicles are also custom designed for Removals and Storage and carry equipment like electronic tail lifts and ramps for efficient loading, timber tie rails to secure large furniture items for transport and air ride suspension to reduce movement and protect our precious load. When it comes to moves requiring storage our side loading doors allow us to load straight into a wooden container at your home meaning we don’t have to handle your items again when they are returned to our warehouse, reducing the risk of damage and our costs.
