In May a team from Bournes, calling themselves "Bourne to be Wild" joined the "100 miles in May" challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The team smashed their initial £500 target, raising an amazing £1,390 toward funding vital research in the fight against Cancer. Each team member had a target of walking 100 miles each across the month, and some achieved even more! Collectively the team walked 1411 miles throughout the month.

Team leader Alice Doucy (Customer Services Manager) said "As a team, we took on a challenge close to all our hearts. Each of us has been touched by cancer in some way, whether it's a colleague, friend, or family member who has battled this disease. We believe that every step we take and every penny we raise can make a real difference in the fight against cancer".
The team really enjoyed the challenge and the push to get out into the fresh air a bit more - Move Manager Arunee even got creative with her walks, plotting and tracking her route on Strava to deliver a motivational message for the team!

Well done to all involved and on behalf of the team a big THANK YOU to everyone who donated, supported and cheered them along.
It's not too late to donate!
