Keeping track of the paperwork involved in a house move can be stressful. If you’re moving for the first time or are simply running out of time and aren’t sure who you need to speak with and when regarding your move then this handy checklist could be a lifesaver.
This checklist reminds you all of the people who might need to know you are moving and lets you track your progress for informing them – especially if you need to close accounts and take reference numbers.
For most organisations this can be done within 2 weeks of moving – so don’t panic too much if you think you’re running out of time - however its worth checking with individual service providers as some (e.g. Digital TV) may require a months cancellation notice).
