Unfortunately moving house can create extra waste including used packing materials and items that you decide no longer fit or suit your new home. We encourage our customers wherever possible to donate, reuse or recycle moving waste to help protect our environment.
Buckinhamshire Council provides home recycling bins for most smaller recycling waste that fits in your bin including paper and cardboard. These are collected fornightly. They will only collect what fits in the bin though so if you have extra you'll need to visit a local recycling centre (however small electrical items can be place on top of the bin on collection day and crews will collect alongside your recycling bin).
There are household recycling centres in Amersham, Aylesbury (Rabans Lane Industrial Area), Aston Clinton, Beaconsfield, Buckingham, Burnham, Chesham, High Wycombe and Langley.
Find out how they operate, what can and can't be accepted and any applicable charges on Buckinghamshire Council's Recycling Page.
If you have larger items to be disposed of you can arrange a bulky waste collection online too for a small charge.
