International Move Manager

Location: Tunbridge Wells, Kent OR Rye, East Sussex (Remote working available). 

Hours: Full time (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday).

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Customer Service Team. Bournes provides a portfolio of services to a diverse range of clients and we are looking for professionals with International Move Manager and supply chain management experience. 

We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about customer service and who has a proven track record of taking ownership and going the ‘extra mile’ ensuring ultimate customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Door to door move management including management of freight forwarders, overseas partners and 3rd party services. 
  • Provide guidance and support to customers throughout the move including customs documentation, transit schedules and individual requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, shipping lines, agents, road crews and overseas partners to ensure all aspects of the move are delivered smoothly - from packing, transport and transit schedules to delivery and after-sales service.
  • Manage all aspects of the move using the Moveware move management system including booking, billing and communications. 
  • Review and approve supplier invoices, produce sales invoicing and supporting documentation. 

Requirements

We'd love to meet you if you are:

  • An excellent communicator (written and verbal) who takes pride in meeting your deadlines and consistently delivers.
  • Experienced as a Move Manager / Coordinator with both Domestic and International experience and an understanding of FIDI quality standards. 
  • Passionate about great customer experience with excellent customer service skills and the ability to be calm and empathetic towards customers
  • A stickler for attention to detail to maintain client files, including computerised records with move specifications and costs 
  • Positive with a pro-active approach to solving customer issues
  • Skilled at influencing and negotiating 
  • Organised with excellent prioritising skills and ability to work under pressure and manage your time effectively
  • Experienced in working to meet targets
  • Commercially aware with an ability to maximise revenues and control costs alongside
  • Able to work independently but also as part of a team and share best practices is essential
  • Experience of Moveware or other industry CRM/Move Management software is advantageous. 
  • Experience in dealing with complaints is desirable.
  • Industry training including FIDI and BAR qualifications alongside foreign language skills are desirable but not essential
