Congratulations to our Quality and Training Manager, Hayley Couzens, who recently completed a gruelling 65 mile charity bike ride in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
Hayley had been training for several months in the run up to the race, which took place overnight in Central London on Saturday May 28th. Ride the Night is the UK's first ever women-only bike ride which aims to raise money for the three main female charities - Breast Cancer Care, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action. Hayley chose to ride to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care, a cause particularly close to her heart after her late grandmother and late cousin both suffered the disease.
The entire ride took Hayley just six hours, with only one pit-stop to refuel halfway round at Buckingham Palace. So far, Hayley has raised an astonishing £849 (excluding extra donations from around the office) for her chosen charity - beating her original target of £200 by a long way.
