Bournes Moves in the Save the children christmas jumper day advert

Posted by By Kirsty Parsons - December 3, 2014

xmas_jumper_video_(1)Back in October two of Bournes Moves customer service team members, Marilyn Wilson and Hayley Couzens volunteered as extras for UK charity Save the Children who were filming an advert to promote their Christmas Jumper day campaign.

The advert was filmed on Camber Sands beach on a wet, windy and cold day and involved our extras playing the parts of beach goers in their Christmas Jumpers and beach accessories. Comedian Harry Enfield is the star of the advert which is a spoof of the Southern Comfort 'Whatever's Comfortable' advert which first aired in 2012.

Save the Children filmed the ad to encourage as many people as possible to take part in their Christmas Jumper day fundraising campaign where participants wear their christmas jumper on the 12th December for a donation of £2.

Bournes Moves offices and removals crews will be taking part in the fundraising campaign by wearing their jumpers to work and hosting an festive bake off for employees in the week running up to Christmas.

Bournes are also hosting a charity quiz to raise funds for Christmas Jumper day at the Queens Head in Rye on the evening of 12th December and are encouraging Christmas Jumper day participants to keep their festive sweater on after work and join Bournes and friends for a festive evening of fun, the chance to win cash prizes in the quiz, more prizes in the raffle, enjoy a free curry and pint AND to help save a child's life at the same time.
