"I have been with Bournes for around 6 years and am a Supervisor in our moving crews.

I really enjoy being part of the Bournes “family”. The work is hard and sometimes the days are long but it’s enjoyable. I’ve been driving for 32 years, in the UK and Europe and driving every type of vehicle in my previous haulage background. I moved into removals for a bit of a change and have been here ever since.

I love meeting different people from all walks of life and professions and all the staff care and are very passionate about their role in the Bournes family."

"I have worked in removals for approximately 25 years now initially working away in Europe packing and containerising households returning to the USA, after this I worked for a couple of local companies in the UK but my heart is in the European side of the business and Bournes gave me the opportunity to work predominantly in Europe and I've been here ever since.

I am now in my 15th year working for this company and I have to say it has been a very enjoyable but challenging part of my life.

The knowledge and expertise of this company and the crews is first class. Moving home can be a very stressful process and personally I feel that a major part of my job is to take the stress away from the client and carry out the move quickly and efficiently with the maximum of care.

The company prides itself on being a caring family business. On a personal note I had to have 8 months off work with a serious illness. During that time the senior management and my road crew colleagues kept in contact with me and supported and encouraged me through a very difficult part of my life and eased me back into the routine on my return to work. So I can wholeheartedly say that this company cares."
